Rory Nickell (vocal, guitar) performs in the genre of the singer/songwriter blending blues, country, folk, pop, rhythm & blues, rock & roll,

standards and contemporary styles into a singular, dynamic performance.

For recording projects Rory takes the view that it’s about being able to add to the mix the many musical flavors that are in such rich abundance in

Texas and Georgia to bring out the best of each song. In the end it’s really about making good records with talented people and having great

songs to perform with and for good friends. The band is currently made up of Vinnie Garbonzo (guitar, fiddle), Kim Hayley (bass) and David

Womack (drums, vocals). For small club performances the band relies on Jorge de Armas (cajon) for our beat.

We note with great sadness that after years of battling cancer, Jorge, passed away on January 9, 2024. He

was a valued friend whose absence will be sorely missed. His passing will also be missed by his friends and

family, as well as all the bandmates he had in Austin as he was the beat for a host of bands. He loved to

perform. He was always on time.
